The relatives of the pregnant woman created a ruckus alleging that the newborn baby was swapped in the women’s hospital. Whereas, the hospital staff said that this misunderstanding happened because both the pregnant women had the same name. The police reached the spot and pacified the ruckus. The father-in-law of the victim Tikam Aarti alias Seema told that Aarti alias Seema was admitted in the district women’s hospital after having labor pains, today at 11 am she gave birth to a son who was completely healthy. At the same time, a pregnant woman Seema from Mahendra Colony Mandi Chauraha was also admitted, Seema had a delivery at three in the night and she also gave birth to a son although the baby was only six months old, after the delivery both the children were admitted in the SNCU. One of Seema’s babies died. Staff nurse Vandana called out Seema’s name. On hearing Seema’s name, Aarti alias Seema’s family reached SNCU and informed them about the dead baby. When the family saw the weight of the dead baby, they refused to accept the baby. They started giving the dead baby to Seema, but she also refused to accept the dead baby. Both the families got into a fight. Police reached the spot and pacified the matter and handed over the live baby to Aarti alias Seema. Police station in-charge Umeshchand Tripathi said that this happened due to the mistake of the staff nurse. Both the parties were called and the matter was resolved.
