UGC NET exam postponed: Exam date of 26 August changed

The National Testing Agency has extended the date of UGC NET exam. Now the exam which was to be held on 26th August will be held on 27th August. Janmashtami is on 26th August. Due to this the date of the exam has been extended.

Exams for 83 subjects will be held between August 21 and September 4

Amidst the NEET UG controversy and allegations of paper leak, NTA cancelled the UGC NET June session exam on June 19, a day after the exam. Now these exams for 83 subjects are to be held across the country in computer-based mode between August 21 and September 4. Apart from postponing the exam date of June 26, no changes have been made in the schedule.

NTA has released the city slip

NTA has also released the city slip for the exam on August 12. Candidates can download it by visiting the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in. With its help, candidates can check in which city their exam center will be. However, the information about the exam center can be seen in the admit card.

CBI investigation revealed- Fake screenshot of question paper was made viral.

Edited screenshot of UGC-NET paper went viral on social media before the exam. Central government considered it as paper leak and cancelled the exam on 19th June. NTA had conducted this exam on 18th June. Central government had handed over the investigation to CBI.

On July 11, the CBI had said in its investigation report that the role of a school student has come to light in the alleged UGC-NET paper leak case. The student had uploaded a fake screenshot of the question paper on social media. The CBI says that no large-scale conspiracy was found in this case.
