The punishment for cow slaughter should be shooting and they should not be spared at any cost. Former cabinet minister Swami Yatishwaranand said this during a press conference regarding the Madhopur incident. Along with this, he described the public representatives sitting on dharna as protectors of cow slaughterers. At the same time, he praised the police action in the entire incident and patted their back. While talking to journalists, former cabinet minister in the Uttarakhand government Swami Yatishwaranand while speaking on the Madhopur incident, patted the back of the police. He said that the Gau Seva Aayog has formed a Gau Sanrakshan Squad which includes police personnel.

He said that those who slaughter cows should be shot with glass bullets. While targeting the Congress MLAs, he said that he strongly condemns the public representatives who are staging dharna to protect cow killers. All those who tried to break the law should be prosecuted.

Strict action should be taken against such people, no matter how big a person he is. While answering a question, he said that those who do injustice to daughters will not be spared under any circumstances. On the other hand, on taking action against the former District Panchayat President in the case of irregularities of nine and a half crores, he said that the court’s order will be followed.
