Bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee and Kajol’s cousin Samrat Mukherjee was arrested by Kolkata Police in an accident case.
Actually, on Tuesday, Samrat’s car collided with a motorcycle in Behala area of south-west Kolkata.
After the accident, the 29-year-old bike rider was taken to the hospital. The car driver, Samrat Mukherjee, was arrested by the police.
Eyewitnesses said – Samrat lost control of the car
Talking to a media house about the accident, the bike rider said, ‘I was returning home at around 12:30 in the night, when a car coming from the opposite side at high speed hit me. After this, I fell unconscious.’
Eyewitnesses present at the scene said that Samrat Mukherjee lost control of his car, which led to the accident. After hitting the motorcycle, his car also collided with a nearby house.
Samrat Mukherjee has also worked in Hindi films
54-year-old Samrat is a well-known actor. He has also appeared in Hindi films like Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘The Blue Umbrella’ and Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘Khele Hum Jee Jaan Se’.

Apart from Kajol, Rani Mukherjee, Samrat is also the cousin of Brahmastra fame director Ayan Mukherjee.
Samrat has also worked in Hindi films like ‘Ram Aur Shyam’, ‘Bhai Bhai’, ‘Zanjeer’, ‘Sikander Sadak Ka’ and ‘Hum Hain Rahi Car Ke’.
Apart from this, he was also a part of Bengali TV shows like ‘Tapeshya’, ‘Kaka Number 1’ and ‘Akash Kusum’.
