Union Minister and National President of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) Chirag Paswan has raised questions on many important decisions of the central government. Chirag had opposed important decisions of the central government such as Waqf Bill and lateral entry in government jobs. He also opposed the Supreme Court’s decision to identify sub-categories and creamy layer in Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe quota. BJP was apparently feeling uncomfortable with all these steps of Chirag. For this reason, to control Chirag, his uncle, with whom he has an old rivalry, is being politically activated. By increasing the stature of Pashupati Paras, BJP wants to give a clear message to Chunav Paswan that Chirag Paswan should not interfere much in the important decisions of the central government.

Looking at Chirag’s statements, BJP is now preparing to rein him in and his uncle Pashupati Paras can now once again be given preference in NDA. It is believed that Pashupati Paras, who has been marginalized in politics for the last few months, can soon be made the Governor of a state or the President of an important central board. If BJP increases the stature of Pashupati Paras and appoints him as the Governor of a state or the President of a central board, then it is obvious that by increasing the stature of Pashupati Paras, he will come at par with Chirag Paswan and then BJP wants to control Chirag through Pashupati Paras. Pashupati Paras has been marginalized in politics for the last few months. Despite being in NDA in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP did not give him a single seat to contest in Bihar, about which Pashupati Paras had expressed his displeasure, but still he remains in NDA.

Recently, Pashupati Paras also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi, after which it was confirmed that soon Paras’s stature can be increased and he can be made the Governor of a state or the Chairman of a central board.
