Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant was seen bowling on Saturday. Pant bowled the last over of the opening match of the Delhi Premier League. Then South Delhi Superstars had to score just one run in the last over to win. In such a situation, Pant, who is captaining the Old Delhi team, decided to bowl himself.

26-year-old Pant bowled right-arm spin. He bowled a full toss on the very first ball, which the batsman played to long on and easily took a run. In this match at Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi, Delhi Superstars defeated Old Delhi-6 by 3 wickets.

Before the match, DDCA honoured Pant for winning the T20 World Cup in a grand opening ceremony. This is the first season of the Delhi Premier League.

Delhi-6 gave the target of 198 runs

In the match, South Delhi Superstars won the toss and decided to bowl. Batting first, Old Delhi-6 scored 197 runs losing 3 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Opener Arpit Bala played an innings of 59 runs in 41 balls. While Captain Rishabh Pant scored 35 runs in 34 balls and Lalit Yadav scored 34 runs in 21 balls. In the end, Vansh Bedi played the role of finisher for the team by scoring 47 runs in 19 balls.

Superstars won in the last over, Badoni’s fifty

Chasing the target of 198 runs, South Delhi Superstars won by scoring 198 runs for 7 wickets in 19.1 overs. The team had to score one run in the last over. In such a situation, captain Pant himself decided to bowl. He bowled leg spin. Pant bowled a full toss on the first ball, on which the batsman took a run from long on.

For Superstars, Priyans Arya scored 57 runs, Sarthak Rai scored 41 runs and Ayush Badoni scored 57 runs.
