The main event of the country’s 78th Independence Day has been organized at the Red Fort complex in Delhi. Players who were part of the Indian team in the recently concluded Paris Olympics have arrived as guests in this ceremony.
Apart from this, more than 6 thousand special guests have also been invited by the government. These include farmers, youth, women and tribals.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the program wearing a white kurta-pyjama with a blue Nehru jacket and a Rajasthani lehariya turban. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was seen at the event venue wearing a white kurta-pyjama.
