Mahant Kumbh Bharti has been appointed Thanapati of Juna Akhara. International Patron of Juna Akhara Srimahant Hari Giri Maharaj, President Mahant Prem Giri Maharaj appointed Mahant Kumbh Bharti as Thanapati in a meeting of saints of the Akhara. On being appointed Thanapati, Mahant Kumbh Bharti along with saints of the Akhara bowed down at Maya Devi Temple and took blessings. Mahant Hari Giri Maharaj said that as Thanapati, Mahant Kumbh Bharti will help in taking the traditions of the Akhara forward. Mahant Prem Giri Maharaj said that Thanapati Kumbh Bharti is a learned saint.
Along with contributing to the preservation and promotion of Akhada traditions, Kumbh Bharti will also cooperate in managing the arrangements of the Akhada at the Prayagraj Kumbh. The newly appointed Thanapati Kumbh Bharti expressed his gratitude to everyone and said that whatever responsibility has been entrusted to him, he will follow it faithfully as per the traditions of the Akhada. He will cooperate in the progress of the Akhada. With the blessings of saints and great men, his aim will be to propagate the Sanatan Dharma culture and to carry forward the service tradition of the Akhada.
On this occasion, Mahant Umashankar Bharti, Mahant Mahesh Puri, Mahant Purna Giri, Mahant Devanand Saraswati, Thanapati Mahant Mahendra Bharti, Thanapati Mahant Sahajanand Saraswati, Thanapati Mahant Ratan Giri, Thanapati Akash Giri etc. were present. Madan, Rakesh Nehra, Rakesh, Jassu, Vikram Singh, Naveen and other devotees welcomed Thanapati Mahant Kumbh Bharti by garlanding him.
