Regarding the death of mafia Mukhtar Ansari, who was in jail for many years, the family members had alleged that Ansari was killed by poisoning. The family members had alleged that he died due to poison mixed in food. Poison was not found in the jaggery, gram and salt found in the barrack. To know the truth, the state government ordered a magisterial inquiry. Now it has become clear in the investigation report that Mukhtar Ansari did not die of poison but of a heart attack.

The DM has sent the investigation report to the government. Mafia Mukhtar Ansari, who was locked in the solitary confinement barrack of the divisional jail, fainted and fell on the evening of March 28. He died while being taken to Rani Durgavati Medical College. His son Umar Ansari had accused the jail administration of poisoning him to death. On the second day, March 29, a panel of five doctors, including Dr. Satyendra Kumar Tiwari from SGPGI Lucknow, conducted the post-mortem amid videography. It confirmed death due to heart attack. In the Panchnama, Mukhtar’s son Umar had written that his father’s death was not natural. On raising doubts, orders were given for judicial and magisterial investigation.

All the medicines that were given to Mukhtar during treatment have been investigated. The ADM said that those who expressed suspicion of poisoning were called to give statements, but they did not come. Therefore, it took more than five months to prepare the investigation report. The magisterial investigation was being conducted by ADM Finance and Revenue Rajesh Kumar.

ADM submitted the report to DM Nagendra Pratap 10 days ago. It states that the report of the Forensic Science Laboratory Lucknow also did not find any poison in the material found in the barrack. In the investigation, statements of more than 100 people including doctors of the medical college, security personnel of Mukhtar’s barrack, doctors who treated and conducted the post-mortem, jail officers were recorded.
