There is anger among the Hindu community over the illegal construction of the mosque in Sanjauli, the largest suburb of the capital Shimla. A large number of Hindu community members protested in Sanjauli on Thursday against the illegal construction of the mosque. The Devbhoomi regional organization expressed its anger by protesting outside the Himachal Vidhan Sabha.
Earlier, a large number of protestors gathered in the suburb of Sanjauli and took out a rally in the Sanjauli market demanding the demolition of the mosque.
They started raising slogans. This demonstration, without the permission of the district administration, led to a blockade on the road of Sanjauli city. The protesters were demanding the demolition of the illegal mosque and were protesting against the arrival of people of a particular community from outside states.
The protesters said that there is a possibility of disturbance in the peace of the city due to the people of a particular community coming from outside. A protester said that the administration has been given a 15-day ultimatum to demolish this illegal mosque. If the mosque is not demolished, the movement will be intensified. The protester said that the case pending with the Municipal Corporation Commissioner against the illegal mosque should be heard and settled soon. Also, a check should be kept on the people coming from outside states. They should not be allowed entry into Shimla without verification.
Devbhoomi regional organization raised a roar outside the assembly
On the other hand, under the banner of Devbhoomi Regional Organization, people of Hindu society gathered at Chaura Maidan outside Himachal Vidhan Sabha and demonstrated peacefully. President of Devbhoomi Regional Organization Rumit Thakur said that there is anger in Hindu society regarding illegal construction of mosque in Sanjauli and in view of this, the government should order the administration to immediately demolish the illegal construction of this mosque. He also said that mosques and mausoleums are being constructed illegally on government and forest department lands at many places in the state. He demanded investigation of their documents and investigation of funding of illegal construction. He has also demanded strict laws regarding illegal construction.
People of all religions are respected in the state: Chief Minister
On this entire incident, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that people of all religions are respected in Himachal Pradesh. All people are bound by the law, but no one will be allowed to take the law into their hands in the name of protest in the state. He said that every person coming to Himachal Pradesh and the citizen of the state are bound by the law. In such a situation, no one will be allowed to indulge in vandalism in the name of protest. Peaceful protests are respected on the issue, but no one can be allowed to take law and order into their hands in the state.
