The case of Imilia elderly person of Kadaura block
Kadaura. Large scale fraud has come to light in MNREGA scheme in village panchayat Imilia Buzurg of development block Kadaura. Here first the village panchayat withdrew an amount of four lakh rupees in the name of Jalrok Dam (Chak Road), after that the area panchayat changed the name of this Jalrok Dam and got MB made in a fake way and got more than two lakh rupees paid without doing any work. There was a stir when the fake payment came into discussion and the responsible of the village panchayat and the block are busy suppressing the matter. The same officers are talking about action. In the village panchayat Imilia Buzurg, the work of Jalrok Dam (Chak Road) was done from Kallu’s field to Phool Singh’s field through MNREGA. The responsible of the Gram Panchayat had withdrawn a payment of three lakh 93 thousand 760 rupees from 5 July 2023 to 20 July 2023 and 20 August to 9 September 2023. After that, the area panchayat changed the name of the work done by the Gram Panchayat (from Chandrabhan’s house to the graveyard) from 14 June 2024 to 27 June 2024 by showing fake work and got its MB made and made a payment of two lakh 27 thousand. When the villagers got a hint of fake payment, they complained about it to the district officials and vented their anger on the working style of the responsible on social media. Deputy Commissioner (Labor-Employment) Ramendra Singh Kushwaha said that if there is such a case, then action will be taken.
Fraud was also caught in Ukasa village.
A CC road was constructed from MLA fund in village panchayat Ukasa of development block Kadaura in the financial year 2023 – 24 at a cost of Rs 20 lakh. The block officials included the same CC road in the work plan of the area panchayat and generated work ID from MNREGA scheme and paid wages in the name of labor by showing progress. When Kalpi MLA got a hint of this, he complained to the DM and demanded action. Taking the matter seriously, the DM gave the investigation to Deputy Commissioner (Labor – Employment) Ramendra Singh Kushwaha. The Deputy Commissioner (Labor – Employment) had investigated and submitted the report to the DM. The officials are silent about what action has been taken so far.
