Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir – With the summer season at its peak, the Forest Protection Force in Rajouri is actively combating a series of forest fires. Assistant Director of the Forest Protection Force, Balwant Singh, reported that there have been eight incidents of forest fires in the region so far.

Singh explained, “The summer season is at its peak, and hence we are seeing such forest fires. To date, 8 incidents have taken place. Our staff reach the site timely.” He emphasized the prompt response of the Forest Protection Force in addressing these fires to minimize damage.

To enhance their efforts, fire control rooms have been established at various strategic locations. These control rooms ensure that the team can access fire sites quickly and efficiently. “We have made fire control rooms at different locations to ensure accessibility,” Singh noted.
