It has been raining continuously in Rajasthan for 3 days. There is flood like situation in 7 districts including Jaipur (Dholpur, Karauli, Bharatpur, Dausa, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur). Many areas were submerged due to dam breach in Sawai Madhopur.
20 people have died in 24 hours due to rain in the state. There were 18 deaths due to drowning and 2 due to house collapse. Schools have been closed in 5 districts including Jaipur.
Here, river Ganga is in spate in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. There is a flood like situation in 15 districts situated on the banks of Ganga-Yamuna in UP. In Bihar, 4 big rivers including Ganga and Gandak are flowing above the danger mark.
Rain continues in most areas of Himachal Pradesh since late Sunday night. Four children were washed away in the flood in Bathri of Harauli, Una. The bodies of three have been recovered, while one is missing.
3 flights diverted in Delhi, low lying areas flooded
Rain continues in Delhi-NCR for two days. The effect of bad weather was visible at Delhi Airport. 3 flights were diverted. 2 were sent to Jaipur and one to Lucknow. Due to heavy rain on Sunday evening, low lying areas were flooded. Many vehicles were damaged due to the collapse of the wall of MCD school in New Ashok Nagar.
