A gas cylinder and some other suspicious items were kept on the Kanpur-Farrukhabad railway track in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday night. Meanwhile, Kalindi Express going to Bhiwani collided with the gas cylinder. Fortunately, the gas cylinder did not explode and fell far away. A major accident was averted. If the train had overturned, there could have been a huge loss of life and property.

Kalindi Express was going towards Bhiwani from Kanpur Central via Anwarganj station. It had just reached near Shivrajpur railway station when suddenly a loud bang was heard. Due to high speed, the driver did not apply emergency brake and gave a memo on reaching Shivrajpur station after a short distance. It said that the train had collided with some iron object.

When RPF Inspector OP Meena went to the spot and saw this, he was shocked. Some suspicious items were found on the railway track and a gas cylinder was found lying far away, which was not exploded and was filled with gas. Seeing this, the inspector understood that a conspiracy has been hatched to overturn the train. Izzat Nagar North Eastern Railway Division PRO Rajendra Singh said that a conspiracy has been hatched to overturn the train. The matter is being investigated and security of the railway track has been increased.
