After the order of the High Court double bench, the candidates of the reserved category are continuously agitating for the demand of appointment under the 69000 teacher recruitment. All these candidates are continuously gheraoing the residences of ministers and leaders one after the other. In this sequence, the residence of Cabinet Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar was gheraoed on Thursday. The candidates who reached here in large numbers raised slogans and demanded to follow the decision of the High Court double bench and give appointment.

The candidates kept raising slogans outside Omprakash Rajbhar’s residence for about an hour. On this, Minister Omprakash Rajbhar came out of his residence and met the protesting candidates and listened to their problems. He assured the candidates and said that the government is trying to find a solution to this matter.

Amarendra Patel, who is leading the agitation and protest, said that we are also gheraoing the residences of OBC and SC class leaders and ministers so that they meet Chief Minister Yogi ji and resolve this issue. All of us candidates have been wandering on the streets for the last 4 years, now that the court’s decision has come, it should be followed.

Amarendra Patel said that this recruitment process started in the year 2018. When its result came, injustice was done to the candidates of reserved category on a large scale and they were denied jobs. After going through a long agitation and judicial process, on 13 August 2024, the double bench of Lucknow High Court has given a verdict in the interest of us reserved category candidates and ordered the appointment of candidates by following the rules, but the government is procrastinating in this matter. We want the government to resolve this matter as soon as possible and issue a schedule to tell when we victims are being appointed.

Patel said that the court has cancelled the original selection list of 69000 teacher recruitment and ordered the government to issue a new list within three months following the reservation rules. But the government has not started any work yet and has only held a meeting. Our demand is that the government should issue the schedule of our selection process.
