In Bihar’s capital Patna, on Monday morning, fearless criminals killed BJP leader Shyamsundar alias Munna Sharma when he resisted chain snatching. The entire chain snatching incident has been captured on CCTV. It is clearly visible in the CCTV footage that Shyamsundar is sitting on the roadside. Just then three miscreants arrived on a bike and started snatching the chain. When Shyamsundar resisted, one criminal shot him in the head. The other attacked him with a knife. After snatching the chain, all three miscreants fled on a bike.
Shyamsundar was the Nagar Mandal President of Patna City Chowk. His son’s engagement was on Sunday. He had gone to drop off a guest who had come to his house on Monday morning. While returning, when the criminals tried to snatch his chain, he resisted, which angered him and one of the criminals shot him in the head while the other attacked him with a knife several times. When people doing morning walk saw the dead body, they informed the police. After this, he was taken to Patna’s Nalanda Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Chowk police station in-charge Shashi Rana said that Munna Sharma was murdered on Monday morning by attacking him with a sharp weapon. The entire case is being investigated with the help of FSL and dog squad.
