Shocking information is emerging in the case of rape and murder of a trainee doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College on August 9. The CBI’s investigation so far and statements of the doctor’s batchmates have revealed that the trainee doctor was eliminated to prevent her from trying to expose the illegal trade of human organs.

The agency questioned 13 people on Saturday. In two days, it has questioned 19 people. More than half of them have given information about the racket of human organ smuggling from the hospital. The team claims that many white-collar faces will soon be exposed.

CBI sources told Dainik Bhaskar that the roots of the case are very deep. The rape was done so that it looks like a common incident. There are also allegations of running a sex and drug racket in the medical college for a long time. Links to the death of a student in the college hostel 23 years ago in 2001 are also being linked to this.

4 people including 3 doctors accused of running sex-drug racket

A senior leader of a political party has claimed that he has screenshots of a WhatsApp group of doctors which reveals a sex and drug racket in the hospital. It mentions a senior leader of another party and his nephew.

According to CBI sources, after this clue, the names of four people from the medical college have come to light during interrogation. These include three doctors and one house staff. It is claimed that these four are associated with a political party and used to run a sex and drug racket in the hospital. CBI officials say that solid evidence is being collected.

The victim had an inkling and was about to reveal it

According to sources, the work of disposal of medical waste and supply of some medicines and other items in RG Kar Medical College and Hospital was given to a person close to the management, but the supplies were not being made as per the conditions. The victim was aware of this. It is suspected that this may have been a reason for the murder.

A doctor from the hospital claims that the victim had earlier complained about this in the health building. However, no action was taken as the accused were influential. The trainee doctor was planning to reveal the entire matter on social media with evidence.

The body of the trainee doctor was found in the seminar hall of the medical college on August 9. The postmortem report confirmed rape. According to the report, there were deep wounds on her private parts. The thyroid cartilage was broken due to strangulation. There are injury marks on the stomach, lips, fingers and left leg.

He was hit on his face with such force that the glass of his glasses broke and entered his eyes. An accused named Sanjay Roy has been arrested in this case. He was a civic volunteer in Kolkata Police.

The victim’s father said that the body was kept in the seminar room after the murder somewhere else

The trainee doctor’s father told the Bangla media on Saturday (August 17) night that the entire department is involved in the incident. Now there is also a suspicion that the body was brought and kept in the seminar room to destroy evidence after the murder was committed somewhere else.

He alleged that demolition was carried out in the name of renovation near the seminar hall to destroy evidence. On Friday (August 16), the Calcutta High Court also questioned the Bengal government about the haste of renovation near the crime scene. The government said that the demolition was carried out to build a doctors’ rest room.

Students claim- organs were removed even from dead bodies

The students of the college have accused the former principal Sandip Ghosh of knowing what was happening here. It is alleged that the unclaimed bodies that came to RG Kar Medical College and Hospital for postmortem were kept for practicals. Organs were also removed from their bodies. At present, the CBI has not confirmed this.

Sandip Ghosh resigned on August 12, the fourth day of the incident. The CBI took him into custody on Friday (August 16). He was questioned till late Friday night. Then on Saturday (August 17) he was questioned for 13 and a half hours.

The CBI told news agency PTI that they asked the former principal several questions. Like where was he on the night of 8-9 August when the doctor was raped and murdered. Who informed him about the incident and what was his first reaction after getting the news.

Sandip Ghosh was asked who he instructed to inform the victim’s family about the incident and how and who contacted the police. The CBI said that Ghosh got confused while answering some questions.
