In the village Kumhiya under the police station Maharajganj area of the district, a 35-year-old neighbor Salman raped a 6-year-old Dalit girl inside his own house. The villagers recovered the girl from inside the house of the accused Salman.
After which, on being informed by the villagers, the police reached the spot and arrested the accused Salman and started taking him to the police station in the police jeep, but on the way, Salman fooled the police and jumped out of the police vehicle and ran away.
But the police team again got the information about his location after a lot of effort after about 8 hours. When the police team went to arrest the accused, the accused Salman present there started firing at the police team, after which Salman was arrested again late at night after an encounter in retaliatory action, in which Salman was shot in the leg! It is being told that the rape victim has been admitted to the hospital in a critical condition!
