Dehradun: (Baba Sahni suicide case) In the builder Satendra Sahni alias Baba Sahni suicide case that took place in the capital Dehradun, the security given to the family was withdrawn, the photos of the accused with politicians went viral, etc., a large number of people from the Sikh community met the District Magistrate today and apprised him of the entire matter.
Sahni’s family has given a memorandum to the Chief Minister through DM Dehradun in which demand has been made to tighten the security of Sahni’s family. Sensing the seriousness of the matter, the District Magistrate immediately spoke to SSP Dehradun and assured the family of immediate appropriate action and also said that security will be provided to the family soon.
The Sikh community has also expressed its gratitude to the government for the impartial way in which it took action against the influential Gupta brothers in the case of suicide of the well-known and respected builder of the Sikh community, Satinder Singh Sahni. But for some time now, news has been circulating about the accused i.e. the Gupta family’s association and alliance with a big leader of the state.
The Sikh community is angry over the matter of BJP leaders colluding with the accused and providing protection to the Gupta brothers after the government took strict action in this matter.
The police not filing the chargesheet in the above case is dimming the hope of justice for Shri Satendra Singh Sahni not only in the minds of the Sikh community but also in the minds of the general public. The police has withdrawn the security of the Sahni family. Photos and news of the big leaders of the state with the accused are being circulated openly. They are still being protected by the same leaders who had openly encouraged them earlier as well.
The entire Sikh community has unanimously denounced such political nexus and alliance with the accused and has expressed concern over the constant threat to the Sahni family and is shocked at the open political protection being given to the accused. The Sikh community and Sahni’s family have demanded from the administration that it should not come under any such influence and should not only ensure full security to Baba Sahni’s family but also complete an impartial investigation and file a charge sheet without getting influenced.
