Due to heavy rains in Uttar Pradesh, there are flood-like conditions in 15 districts. In Varanasi, 50 ghats have been submerged in the Ganga. NDRF is deployed here. In Kanpur, the Ganga has crossed the danger mark.
213 roads are closed in Himachal Pradesh due to rain and landslides. The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rains in 22 states of the country on Wednesday. There is also an alert of lightning in many states.
28 deaths in 3 days in Rajasthan
- There is a flood like situation in Karauli, Rajasthan. 28 people have died in 3 days due to heavy rains in the state.
- Holiday has been declared on 14th August (Wednesday) in government and private schools of Dausa district.
Himachal suffers loss of Rs 1004 crore due to rain
- There have been several incidents of heavy rainfall and landslides in Himachal Pradesh this monsoon season.
- Due to rain in the state, a loss of Rs 1004 crore has occurred from 27 July to 12 August.
- The State Emergency Department said 110 people had died in rain-related incidents.
Heavy rain alert in 16 states on August 15
- According to the Meteorological Department, there is an alert of heavy to very heavy rain (12 cm) over South Interior Karnataka and Kerala on August 15.
- Heavy rain (7 cm) is warned for Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha, Bihar, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu, Haryana and Chhattisgarh.
