Chief Advisor of the Interim Government of Bangladesh Mohammad Yunus reached Dhakeshwari Temple in the capital Dhaka on Tuesday. After reaching the temple, Yunus met the prominent people of Bangladesh Puja-Udayapan Parishad and Mahanagar Sarvajan Puja Samiti, the management board of the temple and the devotees.

In fact, amidst the violence in Bangladesh, attacks on the Hindu community are increasing. So far 205 cases of attacks on Hindus have been reported in 52 districts. Apart from Bangladesh, protests have also taken place in India, America, Britain and Canada due to increasing attacks on Bangladeshi Hindus.

In such a situation, this step of Mohammad Yunus is being seen as an appeal to the people of Hindu community to maintain peace. While talking to the people, Yunus said that we are all one and rights are equal for all. Yunus asked people to first give him a chance to work and then judge him.

Hearing on Sheikh Hasina today:

Hearing is going to be held today on the charges of murder of a shopkeeper against Sheikh Hasina, who left Bangladesh and came to India. In fact, on July 19 last month, amid the ongoing violence over reservation, a grocery shopkeeper Abu Sayeed was killed in police firing in Mohammadpur, Dhaka. Former Prime Minister Hasina and 6 other people were made accused in this case.

According to the Bengali newspaper The Daily Star, Amir Hamza Shatil, a resident of Mohammadpur, had filed a case against Sheikh Hasina and others in the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court. Information about when this complaint was filed is not available.

Apart from Sheikh Hasina, Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader, then Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, former DB chief Harun Rashid, former DMP commissioner Habibur Rahman and former DMP joint commissioner Biplab Kumar Sarkar have also been named as accused.
